As a newbie had not figured that out yet!

Photobucket is back up with more loaded pics so had planned on putting them back along with some new ones.

I also may be making an engine change if all works out to get one of the first sets of Boss 9 heads which are in final stages (spoke to Jon K earlier today) A couple weeks from now should have more info as today was going to be my day for ordering the custom roller cam for the side oiler. Will now hold off until I hear back from Jon.

In that case the side oiler will be for sale....

Truck progress will contiue as the engine swap to boss 9 will not make a lot of difference only a bit more time to build the engine. The streetable power I can get from the new boss heads is a bunch better than the 427 SO. Of course the trans will also be a slight issue. I do have bucket loads of 385 series engine parts along with a complete nice running 69 Mark III (70k mi) with the neat crank driven P/S pump if need be.

Whats better here or gallery for pics?

here is finished cart for cab. Upper portion notice casters which entire assy lifts off then lower section goes onto the bed for moving it around. Expect to have primer on cab by saturday evening.

Doors are nice enough there is NO body work! Not a single ding, nothing. Prime & block out once then they will be ready for paint! Cab is pretty much the same. Underside of hood I may just hit with compound its that nice. Fenders not a single ding. A few factory ripples in bedside but excellent to work with. Inside of bed is another story. Still need that styleside tailgate if anyone has one????

I made a gallery but get the upload failed error:

File upload error:
Name: IMG_0647.JPG
Size: 2970687
Type: image/pjpeg

Appears my pics are too large and I do not have an easy way to downsize them. Other than photobucket which would mean to upload them to photo bucket then change size save to computer then upload them to this site? too much work

Not much to update but made a little progress. Difficult when only a one man band...

Shop has not recovered from the boss project.

Rolled chassis into shop yesterday and got the SideOiler mounted into chassis along with the cobra jet c-6 to check fit. ALso wanted to see what the headers I have on hand would fit like. rod/piston shown is one I will be using. a Lemans rod with a very custom piston..

Had to cut apart a moroso pan for it to fit. Engine is moved back around an 1" or so and hope all clears firewall.

Decided to go with the Mercury Thunderbolt style valve covers so the roller rockers would clear and just love the style. Not sure if they will get plated, chromed or just painted, maybe a bit of airbrushing..

gritsngumbo is starting off with a positive reputation.
Question ????

Not sure what this guy expected from the members? Noticed that several members complimented him on his project. Didn't seem to need much in the way of recommendations or advice since this obviously wasn't his first "rodeo". Maybe he could delete his "dead" photobucket links to save the bandwidth for others to use?

for a site that has approx 1500 people viewing at any given time, me posting away and very few views or comments along with photobucket issues its not worth my time. more later gotta run

only 4 different people posted in 3wks time! I would call that not much interest

updates

Will still do once in a while updates maybe a couple times per month if any interest.

Frame is back from powdercoater, just brought in last batch for powdercoating yesterday along with all nuts bolts and parts that need plating, getting close to having all stuff on hand to move to next step. Chassis assy will start once the stuff is ready some time next week.

For sure going with the side oiler as the custom roller cam just arrived and its ready for final assy.

Decided because I want this truck to look NEW and there were numerous dings in bed floor to just replace it. Found the 2008 SuperDuty floor is an exact fit so picked up a new one and its almost ready to be installed. Well over 200 spot welds to get old one to pop out.

If I were able to edit the posts I could put the missing pics back in as now have my entire photobucket site revamped with different categories for suspension/chassis, engine, body paint etc

As long as there is interest will still post. Its been near 100 deg here too but......... A/C in shop so not an issue. My last 2 shops in phx also had A/C. Has to be comfortable year round working or it takes the fun out of it.

Been a lot slower than I thought it would be but still making progress. Once the batch of powder coating and plating is done things should start to happen a bit faster at least the chassis will be done in just a few days. Be great to where I can push it around instead of having to carry it by hand.... A wk from now the chassis should be well on its way. Then its time to start the body work and finish stripping upper portion of cab, install bed floor etc. Will probably pick up paint in next few wks.

I ordered the wheels well over a month ago and they have been built but still have not shown up.

Still need to tear apart the cobra jet c-6 and freshen it up as its been sitting for nearly 30yrs.

They did a fantastic job on the frame! Am excited to see the knickel finish they are putting on the nuts and bolts. So far everything they have done for me whether it be plating or powdercoating has been A++++++

edit add: the broom handle end I shaped to fit curvature of wheel well as there were a few dings/dents in it. Worked great!
