I think I have a couple of good ones lying around and a complete brand new set (but those are going to replace the ones on my truck after it gets painted. I can send you a nice one free, just pay shipping. I think I remember seeing your truck at the get together at McKenzies. Also, that rear disc brake conversion was top notch. By chance, do you have any of the drum parts left over you want to sell? My 1986 F-250 needs the rear drums maybe backing plate replaced.

 

I know this is off the wall for this forum, but I am going for it. Among all my trucks I hide a 1999 Mercury Cougar 2.0 4cyl automatic for economy purposes. My problem is that its transmission is out and I cannot find one around here. It is called a CD4E and only fits 98-99 Cougar, Mystique or Contour with a 2.0 4 cyl. Thought that some of you out there could look around to see if there any trannys or even whole cars I could get. Thanks all.

I looked on ebay a rebuilt one goes for 600 is this high compared to any where you looked?

 

Thare are quite a few Contours and Mystics and possibly one or two Cougars i the yard about 1 minute for me. I would be more than happy to call them

 

The 599.00 one on EBAY is a farce. I called on it and even though the item in the picture is the trans I need the person I talked to quoted me 1100.00. I asked him why and he said that the one in the pic was used only for representation purposes and that my trans is a "rare bird" so it is higher.

That sounds like a scam what about the other ones on there at 799 or so I saw a few on there and MAZDA had some of these didn't they? Well yeah I understand the rare or hard to find I'm looking for a 4.2L V6 every one I find is for a newer year or blown up.

 

I will be at the salvage yard tomorrow. I will look at the possible cars you listed to see about a tranny. I know they have about several Contours and atleast one Cougar of that year.

I'm looking for a set of 15" wheels for a Bronco I'm putting together. Cheap. I found four BF Goodrich AT's, 33-12.5-15's for a $120.00. I would prefer 35's or 37's since I'm putting a 6" lift on it, but I don't think I can resist that price, from what I saw they look really good. I also need an air conditioning compressor, front drivers seat and radio. I don't plan on making the truck real nice since it will see off road and slop.

84, If you still have those headlight bezels, grills and woodgrain trim, I will take them for my 83 just in case. I could get them off you at Carlisle.

I've got a class 3 reciever hitch from a 94 E250 van.I used it on an 89 E250 so it will fit the older body style.It could stand some paint but otherwise it's in good shape.$25.

Also have an NP205 transfer case from a 79 F150.Shifts fine.Lube was clean when I drained it.$35.

Last thing is a good hood from a 78 F100.No holes or dents.$35.

I'll listen to offers for any or all.I'm in Tarentum.

 

Anyone want a hood from a 77 F-250 it's in pretty good shape. Come and get it and it's yours for free.
