OK, in the interest of "paying it forward" I am going to tell you about a little giveaway.

I have a bunch of FE 390 parts - two motor's worth.

One is the one I built for my Highboy. It is disassembled, heads off, short block intact.

It's 11:1 compression (TRW Forged flat-tops), heads have 428CJ size exhaust valves w/porting and polishing done (by my machinist) bronze/silicon guides positive-lock seals double valve springs hardened intake/exhaust seats, balanced to infinity, rods redone, only about 5K miles on it. No intake. The only problem with the short block is the back of the block is cracked behind the flywheel - easily stitched up now that the engine is out of the truck. I'd still disassemble it, clean it up, and reassemble just to make sure everything it OK.

The other motor is a pretty stock 390 disassembled all the way, C7AE heads (truck exhaust bolt pattern) with hardened exhaust seats, NO RODS/PISTONS, 2bbl intake, manual flywheel, what looks like a good block (will definitely need boring, someone took a ridge cutter to it and didn't do a good job it seems). You could use the block to redo the other 390. Truck log-style manifolds.

Of course, they all come with rockers and shafts, (pushrods rusted so they are useless), drip rails, engine plates, etc.

If you are willing to come to my house and pick it up, it's FREE, but with a condition!

You have to take it all in one shot. You have to actually use the parts yourself for a build, and post up pics and whatnot in the FE forum and whatever year truck forum you put it in

Offers of cash are always welcome! Parts for 4.6L or V10's are welcome as trades.

I don't know how to handle the "who comes first" thing, PM or email me, and I'll figure out what to do.

I've tried to sell the stuff in the past here on the classifieds, and on craigslist. I had a few bites from craigslist, but one guy got really pissy when I wouldn't give him a price except to say "give me an offer" - he actually got angry ... sheesh some people

I can deliver it within a 100-mile or so radius (maybe further if its Upstate) but you pay for gas (I have a V10 Superduty - 17MPGs on the highway last trip).

Truck Bed Needed

I have a 77 f-250 which currently has a rack/flat bed on it. I am looking for a 8' bed for the truck. I would like to get the correct bed for the truck, but would also consider a newer style bed as long as it has the fuel door in the rear. Doesn't have to in mint condition, but does need to be usable. Let me know if any of you have one or know of somebody selling one. I am located in Dutchess County, NY and will travel within reason for a bed for this truck.
