Helper spring advice. 2000 E150.

Clubwagon: Is this the helper spring you got at Autozone?
I'm open to suggestions regarding this one, Supersprings, Helwig, etc. I'm not going to overload the e150, just HVAC tools and some inventory and I don't want it to squat too much.

it won't let me post the picture I took so here's the web listing:

AutoZone.com | Shopping | Accessories | Product Detail - Superior Automotive Set of 2 Up to 1500 lbs. 3 Way Adjustable Leaf Helper Springs

unlike supersprings, this is a rigid curved bar that mounts on the leaf spring forward or behind the axle but doesnt span it. is that a good idea?

Not sure since the link doesn't give a photo. I will try to post a picture of my springs as mounted on my van.

I have those exact same helpers on my 02 e150. It is a conversion van so I don't haul much but I do tow a 5500 pound camper. For $24.99 I think they are ok. The ride did firm up a bit and they did reduce body roll in turns, but there is a degradation in ride. Without the helpers, I could hit the bump stops with the camper on the back and you could tell it was too much for those leafs. Not a perfect solution but definately a big help. I've had them on for a year now and have not noticed any ill effects in terms of durablity. Again, for $25.00 you can't go wrong.
