I have a 01 f150 2WD base truck with a 4.6 v8 and automatic transmission. sometimes on the highway it seams to jerk like it is trying to shift. I also noticed that the theft light on the dash flickers on and off occasionally with no real pattern and it doesnt coincide with the tranny problem. Could these problems be related? I have pulled some full size vehicles on a trailer with this truck. And it has 90,000 miles and was a landscapers truck for the first 80,000 miles.
Any sugestions?

You need a fluid and filter change. It sounds like TQ converter shudder.
