Non-running 92 7.3L Where should I start?

I just bought a non-running 92 F350 crewcab with a 7.3L diesel in it. The guy I bought it from bought it non-running and never looked into it. I bought the truck for the dana 60 front axle but would like to use the engine if it will run. Other than owning a 6.0L in my cube van I don't know where to start. I know how they work but have never worked on them. All my knowledge is in ford gas motors. Any help on where to start looking or testing would be great. Engine does turn over. Thanks

Fule. see if you have fule to the shrader valve on the filer head then see if you have fule to the injector line. Also check for power to the fule cut off solinoid on the top of the injection pump.

Try and roll the engine over by hand using the crank bolt.........then.....
Start with 2 good 850CCA batteries........
See if ignition and starter work........"Fast"
Consider replacing the fuel filter........ not required if a good one is installed.....
Make sure the tank selected has at least 1/3 tank of fuel.....
Check oil level.......coolant level.....

report any problems so far........
