Y-block and related I.D.

I have a y-block of unknown origin. It is not original to my truck. The numbers on the block are ECT 6015 B. It has a 4bbl intake, tach drive distributor, and rams horn exhaust manifolds. The head numbers are 5750117, and the exhaust manifolds are ECS9430A. I would like to know where to look for info on this engine, if anyone knows. Also, I would like to reuse the trans that's behind this engine on a 460. The trans is a 5 speed with a PTO. The numbers on the trans are E-LC-KO with 207794 below. Is there a bellhousing or a scattershield that would accept this trans? This combo is in a 1954 F800. Any ideas? I am new to old Foed trucks and any help is appreciated.

Did you find out what size motor you have. I might be interested in the exhaust manifolds if it is a Y-Block. If all the exhaust manifold bolts are in a straight line it is most likey a Y-Block probably a 272 or 292. If the exhaust manifold bolts are staggered then it may be a HD motor 302 or 332 I think. There are some other people on this forum who know more about this than I.

Thanks Charles

I haven't received any other responses yet. The first and the last bolt holes are not in line with the other 4 on the exhaust manifolds. I am an FE/385 person. These older engines are strange to me.

It is not a y-block then and is a HD series engine. I'm afraid I have little or no knowledge on these.

Thanks Charles

hello, this is a lincoln and big truck y-block, used in lincolns 52-57 and big trucks 52-64. very few parts interchange with a ford y-block. this trans should bolt to a 460 truck standard bell. hope this helps, wayne.
