They are not though. One power lead from headlamp switch, to dimmer switch. Then one power lead for low beam and one for high beam from dimmer switch.

Then there is splices, ( Splice #811 for low beams, and splice #801 for high beams) where the wires split off for each side.

Why the red flag came up with only one side blinking. If it was the switches both would blink because there is only one wire coming from the switches to power both bulbs.

If the insulator or connector is broken for the headlamp, replace it, that and the insulator on the headlamp itself, is most likely your problem.

I had a problem where my headlamp switch circut breaker would trip when it was very foggy, and it turned out to be the Connector and insulators of the headlamps were getting wet and causing a short circut. I packed my headlamp connectors with white lithum grease and haven't had a problem since. Not a bad idea to pack the light bulb sockets with white lithium grease either, keeps them from coroding.

But since the insulator or connector is broken for the headlamp, replace it. That is definately a problem that could be causing this.

UglyTruck is starting off with a positive reputation.
I would say that the first reply nailed it.... sounds like a ground.

the experience that I had with my 80 150 cost me a ton of money & time chasing & replacing switches, relays, cables, pigtails, bulbs & sockets....in the end all it took was cleaning up the ground on the fender right next to the headlamp socket. follow all of the wires out of the headlamp plug....one will be grounded directly to the fender...remove, clean & reattach it.

but that was my experience, hope this helps U.
