She does not love French cars...

Hit one more car yesterday. It was '07 Pegeot 407.

It was on parking. I looked in mirrors and saw nothing, looked in tailgate window - nothing, put tranny into R and start.... Clunk!!!!

Aerostar has no damage, no scratches, dents.... Pegeot bumper needs replacement, left headlamp wont working.

Called cops to do report for insuarance company. I look for my old bumper (was broken by mad drunk driver) to show it for insuarance company...

Pegeot driver was really upset...

Something like that happened to me once.

Stopped at curb side of airport to drop off sister. Gave her bags and sent her off. Between the time that I closed the rear hatch and got into and started my car, some guy got right behind me in a blind spot. I backed up about 2 feet and CLUNK. Minor damage to bumpers on both cars. The other guy did not care much so we went our separate ways.

This is the first time when car was in blind spot. I wanna go tommorow to radio market to learn what small cameras are offered and what monitors. It is funny but rear view mirror costs like a camera. Some our drivers have cameras on semis.

This would not have happened in my part of the US (New Jersey) Because there are no french cars. No Citroen, no Renault, nothing. Some of those cars were pretty decent vehicles. I guess guys in Canada are used to them.

Franch cars are really different. We use to German, US and Asian engeneering. Many cars made by Ford, GM and VW are designed for European and North American markets and sold with differnt names, but french cars really different. Theirs design is unusual, they have very unusual ergonomy, different engines that need other lubricants and coolants, they look like they made by aliens. But there are many people who loves French cars only. My friend got old Pegeot 605. Car of Contour size. This car has 2.5 turbo diesel. This diesel runs like a gasoline engine w/o any electronics! but has variable turbine geometry fully vac. controlled. May be that's why Ford uses French diesels made by Pegeot. I used to drive aerostar with Pegeot 2.8 TDI and Ranger with duratorq 2.5 designed by pegeot for ford.

The real problem is that it is difficult to find a good technician who repare french cars...

Fortunatly popular here renault trucks have Mack engines and Knorr/bendix air systems....

Seems to me French companies make mistake offering no cars for USA. Russian companies do this mistake too. I think high Euroollar exchnge course is temporary. But when dollar will climb it will be more difficult to get good positions on US market.
