wvo and engine mods

I am currently running wvo with a grease car kit and am considering buying an engine programmer. My concerns are that i will not get the incresed horse power running wvo and waste 500 bucks or worst case it causes some kind of engine damage.

My truck was modded pretty heavy before I bought (I found all this AFTER I bought it a dealership - long story). Anyway, I installed a Vegistroke system about six months after having the truck. It has the same oomph with wvo as with diesel - at least I can't tell the difference. Mod away! Jason at Vegistroke drag races his truck - that was the intent of the PO of my truck.
