clutch bracket interchange

My 1979 F150 4x4 300 6cy 4 spd. clutch pedal is wearing the round hole into an oval hole at the pivot point up under the dash. I pulled clutch bracket out of a 1978 or 1979 F150 with a 300 6 cy with a 4spd tranny but it was a 2wheel drive. Are the brackets the same will these parts interchange? What should I look for ? The trucks are the same except 2wd and 4wd.

I took mine out and welded the hole where it was worn then ground the hole back into shape with a dremel. The weld is much tougher than the base metal.
