P1351 & P1359 OBD2 Codes on a 1996 351

I have replaced the computer, TFI Module (twice Motorcraft brand), the coil, the distributor, spark plug wires, and spark plugs.

The engine runs great. It is in a 1996 Bronco.

Here are the OBDII codes:
P1351
P1359

These codes are not causing any problems for the truck to run, but I cannot get it inspected in my county if it is throwing any code. I need help!

Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Animalistic is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I went through my code book and my Chilton's and I could not find your codes. There was nothing in the 4 digits. You may have either the wrong year or I am not smart enough to find the codes. My Chilton's does go to '96 and has all the codes for OBD-1 so you may want to post in the '97 forum. They should be able to send you in the right direction. Good luck.

Here`s what I found 1351-Ign. diagnostic Monitor Circuit input failure and 1359 Spark Output circuit fault. I would have thought you replaced just about everything to correct the codes. Perhaps Conanski will reply and throw some light on your problem.

Conanski has a good reputation on FTE.Conanski has a good reputation on FTE.
One of the sources I found said P1359 is the crank positon sensor, this is something unique to the '96 motors. It's down on lower passenger side of the motor near the harmonic balancer.

Do you think I should just replace it with a new one or clean the old one?

No I did not do that, but I did clear the codes using my OBD2 reading tool. Should I disconnect the battery or is clearing the codes with the tool the same end result?

Clearing the codes with the reader is the correct way-means the computer does not have to re-learn. Conanski may have hit the nail on the head. I don`t think cleaning the sensor is the answer, however, I think it is possible to test to test it. I don`t know how but if you go to autozone.com there may be some information on testing.
