My Build Up

So i am new to this site and have asked a few questions. But i have never gave any details on my build, so here goes. i have a 1970 F2504x4 that came with a 360 np435 dana 60 rear and a closed knuckle 44 in front with the divorced t case. 205? i smoked the 360 was going to rebuild it but found deal on a 460 so i went that way. i have a d1 block an d3 heads with a stealth intake and rv cam the rest is pretty much stock except the heads had been worked over a lil. my engine guy said good for at least 400 hp. i just bought a 750 double pumper is this going to be a good carb? i want to leave the rest the way it is excpt the seats what is the best way to put buckets in it. i also want to put full power steering and and a dana 44 open knuckle in front with 38-39 inch boggers. thats pretty much it im open to any ideas or suggestions that you guys have

With that torque from the 460 and the 39" tires your axle will be the weak link... I would go to a d60 atleast...

With a heavy truck with giant tires I think you will be a lot happier with a vacume secondary carb. I guess after weeks of changing power valves, jets, and accelrator pump cams you might find the sweet spot on a DP but it would be easier to just run vacume secondarys.

i went with the dp cause i figured with vac secondaries thats just one more thing to go wrong and my dad is an old school holley guy so he is going to help me get it set right. and i really want a hp 60 but there hard to come by so i think im going to settle with a hd 44 and build it later on down the road. and oh yea this started out as a cheap project but we all know how that goes i hev five grand in a truck that does not even fire

Welcome to the Site! That should be a Dana 24 t-case. Supposed to be as tough as a 205. I think you can put a bench or 40/20/40 seat out of any ford pickup up to 96. I put a D44 out of a 76 F250, direct bolt in except for the brake lines I believe.

Whatever seats you decide on, make sure the back rest isn't too thick, you'll be crammed into the steering wheel. my favorites are the 40/20/40 from the '96ish full size.
