My Ford dealership has closed.

I worked for a local Ford dealership for 3yrs and Ford has bought back our franchise as of 2 weeks ago..I am laid off for now..anyone local to central MA need any car or truck work?? I am a Ford diesel master tech as well as an ASE master and can work on all domestics and Asian vehicles..thanks.

Too bad we closed down, an 8miles commute was nice.

I didn't realize ford had machanics, you mean they actually break? You must be lonely, sorta like a maytag repairman. "Sorry", I'm just trying to make you laugh with all your going through. Work shouldn't be hard to find as dealers around here are allways advertising for service techs with good pay and benifits. I know what we need here in Ohio don't help you up in Mass. Things allways tend to work out for the better. Good luck and may God bless.

It also wouldn't hurt to put an application with our service department. Diesel mechanics are rare around here. It couldn't hurt.

You could start your own shop specializing in Diesel repair..
If you are good, people will come from miles around..

Also why not join the NE chapter.. No cost or obligation, just fun...

I already had talked w/ Chris a few months ago since the writing was on the wall..The drive is a bit much and we were not eye to eye on pay it seems and at the time you did not have enough work to go around, thanks though

aren't you guys far away?? like agawam or something?? I went to school w/ a guy from your dealership.. Honestly I had been looking pretty seriously for a few months prior to the buy back and not much around unless I wanted to drive over an hr and make less than I already was flat rate hourly wise anyways..

most diesels are under warranty and they require a lot of PCM updates which I cannot get unless I am a dealer and special tools are very expensive..I am not in the position to invest thousands in tools(more than I have now) If i had the cash the automotive industry is not the place for investments..I appreciate the comments, but for some reason people think they need to bring newer vehicles to the dealership.. free coffee?? and will not expect to pay anywhere near their fees to a small operation..fact of life..
I have a nice shop..steel 50x70' one lift now and full of tools and equipment.. I am taking what comes in for now till something better comes along or invert something.. or that lotto ticket hits!!

Yeah...Sarat closed the Chicopee point...bought Enfield Ford and moved the staff and name there.

We've also picked up some work from Athol...over the years it's been a pretty good market for us...both sales and service.

I heard today...unsubstantiated...but from a pretty responsible source...that Mathieu was considering closing in Winchendon and moving to Athol.
