Was wondering if anybody has changed plugs on a 4.6l, was it quit the task and do you have to remove the fuel rails. Step by step are always handy, Thanx.
haynes manuals are always good for step by step details with diagrams... never owned a 4.6 but i'm sure if u looked at your engine you could figure out what would have to come off or not.... i always have more fun winging it then following someone else's directions anyway... just my 2 cents

Changed plugs on our 2005 F150 with the 4.6L a few months ago, really simple task, no need to remove fuel rails, took a couple of hours. Just have some long and short socket extentions..
I don't have the 4.6 in a truck, but in the Mustang. Pop the COPs off and have a pretty good socket and extension. It's fairly straightforward until you get to cylinder 7 and 8. The firewall may play games with you
otherwise, take your time and put good plugs back in. jobs pretty easy
