availability of original floor mats / how to remove the old one without ruining it

I'm in the process of restoring my 65 CC...I want to paint the interior of the truck. The original floor mat is in there an in good shape...however, it's very brittle and as I've tried to remove it (with another guy helping me), it seems there's no way to remove it without tearing it up. Before I remove it, are mats available like the stock one that's in there, and if not, am I better to just mask it off and skip painting the floorboard, which is not badly rusted at all.

garbz2 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
No one makes a stock type floor mat. After market mats are close but do not have the logo.

As to removing it. warmth is the key to get it out in one piece.

Do the aftermarkets at least have a similar pattern, and if so who has them?...even without the logo? Yesterday it was 85 degrees and the thing was still so brittle I didn't dare move it much....maybe about 8 hands could do it....two guys wasn't enough....

FWIW- if you go after market i do not recommend using LMC. sub par to say the least. i think i could have done a better job with a can of rhino liner and a brush. LOL. My 2 cents Dutch
