2004 DVD compatibility issue

I know this issue has been discussed before, so I will make this short.
I have a 2004 Supercrew with an oem rail mounted DVD.
I recently installed a 6CD/MP3 head unit from a 2006 Supercrew.
I am now having the compatibility problems between the head unit and DVD player that has been brought up Before.
Who can reflash the DVD player to resolve this issue?
I read on a previous thread that Sybesma's Electronics no longer has this service.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
