Roush SuperCharger

I have a 2006 F-150 4X4 with the 5.4 3 valve engine. I have been thinking about adding a Roush supercharger. I've seen them on E-Bay with and without intercoolers. Does anybody have any knowledge of these and whether it would be a good supercharger for my truck? Also, would it be smarter to have it with the intercooler? Thanks for any advise.

We have one with out the intercooler and it is great, we pull with it, do ranch work, go off roading, and everything else. I highly recommend getting one. If we were to get one now we would get the one with the intercooler, it adds more power than the one with out the intercooler. Personally I dont think there is a better supercharger for the 5.4 if you get one the guys can help you get tunes and new pullys to add even more power.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking a Roush on a Ford 5.4 ought to be a good combo. Also adding the intercooler should be a good way to go. Thanks again

I have the Roush Intercooled version on my 07 F150 with the 5.4L. Stock pulley/tune it put down 377RWHP/441RWTQ.

Since then I have added 2lbs of boost. Really helped the midrange power. I have about 7000 miles on it and the tranny is holding up good.

I am trying to figure out the exhuast right now, it just doesn't seem to flow enough. I am thinking I am going to need to go with a full exhaust to get it to flow and sound better. Right now under boost it sounds like jet, not good at all. I have tried no muffler, superflow44 flowmaster, $20 thrush turbo muffler and they all sound like crap.
