Brand name

Do not confuse brand name with quality. Brand names are sold and traded just like other "assets". Who knows who owns which brand name these days? Toyota recently picked up the Oldsmobile name as GM did not re-new the copywright. That's right. Look for a Toyota "442". RCA and GE consumer products are no longer American owned or manufactured. Be careful about brand names. Just look for product quality.

I just checked the boxes that I used in my 02 Ram and they state USA Made also ?? Gonna be a while hopefully before we need more but we'll be looking closely at the product this time around.

Just looked at a box of autolight plugs at Wallmart and it said Made in USA.

Starting to wonder if the "Made in China" ones are counterfeits? I know, it's a stretch, but...

If they are NAPA sells a whole bunch of them. I took these back in hopes of finding a "USA" set to no avail. All the Autolite plugs they had (no matter the number) were MIC. I ended up returning them and getting my money back. I'll hit Wally mart over the weekend and see what turns up for the USA made plugs.

I find it very ironic that the USA made autolite's are still available at Wal-mart when they are notorious for selling cheap crap made in china, yet NAPA only has the made in china autolite's.

It could very well be that Walmart has a 10 year supply in a warehouse somewhere

I've often wondered if certain companies are offered "cheaper" versions of the same thing.

Hey, a few years ago China was going to try and develop a new manufacturing center. They even had a name handpicked for the city-"Usa." No *****, then they could put "Made in USA" on the packaging. Welcome to global marketing!
