remote door locks

Has anyone had any problems with their remote door locks not unlocking? Mine will not usually work on the passenger side with the remote. It trys but will not lift up. Once I start the truck and use the door button it will usually unlock.

It's not the remote, it's the activator. Try not using your remote let the locks sit for a while after the locks have been open or locked for a while use your key to gain access and try to open with the door switch. Mine will work on the second or third try sometimes.

A lttle WD-40 sprayed around the hole where the lock goes up and down goes a long ways. Fixes mine for a year at a time. I've been having the same problem with the passenger side for as long as I can remember.

Are you talking about just where the **** is or going inside the door panel?

I thought it was self explanatory. Where the **** goes up and down in the door panel. If your actuator's are getting weak it does not take much friction to cause them to hang up.

To be honest with you I thought it would of been in the door panel where the actuator is. You are lubing the plastic? The black things unscrew, I guess that would be a way of getting rid of some resistance to. But you would never now if the doors were locked lol.

Tried the wd40 no help. I guess I will have to take the panel off and check to see what is up.

There's a good thread or two on how to do it. Just saw it recently, it involves tinfoil believe it or not.
