Windstar Tranny

hey im ruined,i just found out that my tranny is ruined 128,000 miles but with some research and the old mechanic that did work on my car, that the tranny shop that did the tranny service on the van wasnt suppose to change out the burnt fluid which put the tranny into shock, i called the shop about the tranny, funny that the entire staff that was there at the time of the service had totally been replaced because of improper work, so i have to take the van into the shop in the morning, where the district manager will be present as well as the new mgr, so hopefully they will take responsibility, for the previous crews irresponsibility, the way they brushed my wife off when she first took the van back to them after it was first serviced, but due to all the $ we put into this van we might just add a extra cooler to the tranny cause the one already on there is real small so its all good I HOPE

Can you elaborate on "ruined"? Why did your wife have to take it back to the shop after the first service?

Fresh clean fluid in any transmission should not cause damage. But the way they replaced the old fluid could potentially caused problems.
