Red face Freon

I dont usually hang out over here in this section.. mostly because i dont know hardly anything about A/C.

Now my truck's A/C doesnt seem to work as good as it did when i bought it. Its more "cool" now, than "cold" like it used to be when i bought it(1.5 yrs ago). Now with my truck being 10 yrs old im assuming that it has lost some of the freon from the system.. so im thinking about having the old freon and oil evacuated and new freon and oil put in.
I dont have current A/C vent temps, but im sure with a correct charge of new freon it would be colder than it is now... right?

lsrx101 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Maybe, maybe not.
If the blend door isn't working properly it might not be as cool as it should be. You could have debris blocking airflow through the radiator/condenser. A bad fan clutch will cause poor cooling at idle or low speeds...the list goes on and on.

To properly diagnose the system you need the high and low side pressures at idle and about 1500 rpm. Knowing the model and year will also help.

Its the truck in my sig.
This weekend maybe i will have it pressure tested, i will also check to see if stuff is in front of the condensor.
Also even at high speeds it is the same way, so that would rule out fan clutch(brand new) problem.
How would i check to see if the blend door is working properly.
