removed cat now have smoke please help

hello i need help cause im gettin nervous. i have a 2006 f 350 with a 6.0, ijust installed a turbo back exhaust and now once the engine temp starts coming up i get a lot of blueish gray smoke.if i leave a stop sign or traffic light it looks like i do a burnout. once the engine is at operating temp it mostly clears up but is still there a little when i take off after idling for even thirty seconds. i'm not using any fluids,no performance issues, the truck has 29000 on it. i tryed a bully dog tune on it but no change. i guess my next step is throw the cat back on and bring it to ford but im afraid the cat may mask the smoke. i didnt throw an engine light but maybe they can hook up and find a stored code so at least i have a direction to go. please help if anyone knows anything about this, cause i cant be the only one with this issue thanks.

The only thing I can think of would be the turbo. If the smoke is blue and gray in color and there is no smell of coolant at the exaust it would have to be oil that is burning. The Cat can hide a certain amount of this smoke but if it is as bad as you say then I would not think that it would hide it all. Try putting the cat back on and take it to the dealer if under warranty.

Powerstroke_wannabe is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Sounds like you may have a bad shaft seal in the turbo.

Make sure Bully is out and disconnect both batteries for a short while so the codes clear.....Drive it a while after you do this. If they ask why you disconnected battery it's because you were gonna put in a new stereo system.

Not really, mine doesn't blow ANY smoke at all, even at WOT. Kinda disappointing to have stacks that don't smoke, but with the price of fuel I can live with it for now

Have talked to a lot of people and like myself everyone is still baffled. The cat's goin on tomorrow and i'll see what happens. It's goin to ford soon for a tranny flush and some warranty stuff anyway so i'll have them check everything while it's there. I stood behind it the other day at idle while smoke was happening and without passing out i noticed the smoke has a total burnt smell no diesel, coolant, oil smell. Maybe everything is fine and the lack of a cat is the cause but that's crap in my mind, There's so many 6.0's out there that don't do this but my F*@%ing truck has to. I'll keep everyone up to speed with this thanks.
