Sirus and Garmin install

I can't stand having things stuck to the windshield and now I'm seeing some states are banning this common practice. I decieded to Permanently install a Sirius base assembly and a place for my Garmin on the dash of my Screw.
I fabricated an oak trim piece and stained it to try and match the color of the factory wood and used some 3m tape to secure this piece to the dash. Now the Garmin suction cup has someplace to mount and you don't have to use the ugly plastic disc on your dash. I also placed a small piece of oak in the dash tray and screwed it in from underneath, then mounted the Sirus base with clear Silicone to the oak piece. Then I installed a 12v plug adaptor and 12v. muiltiplug port under the factory radio. Ran the wiring from the Garmin and Sirius units through the dash tray and into the respective units. Now I have a clean install that is not falling of the windshield with wires hanging everywhere

When $$$$ allows i plan to install the unit Kenwood sells with both integrated into the radio. The link below shows one model available. I currently have integrated my sirius into my ash tray, since i don't smoke, for a near stock look. I close the ash tray and no one would know i have sirius looking thru the window. i will post pics of set-up soon. Cool set-up though.

Kenwood - DNX7120

Cool! Now that's the kind of thing I love to do! Make it look as factory as possible! Good job!

Very creative, I really like the Sirius tuner...not sure how I feel about the Garmin. The wood is a nice touch though.
