lifting and beef up suspension

My suspension is real broke down from time and plowing. I want to beef the suspension up for towing and lift it between 2-4 inches. what is the best options with out spending a pile of money? Are there any air bags that will fit with a gooseneck hitch?

A dana 60 is the best option but that doesn't fit your criteria of not spending a pile of money. New front springs with an add a leaf would be the best for the front. The rear air bag will help but it will ride like a log wagon. best option would be new springs again and air bag to help when loaded. As far as fitting air bags with a goose neck I am sure it could be done with some fabrication.

i was figuring add spring and 350 rear block to get the height than have bags for towing. Anyone use front bags? Would this be a good option for plowing snow?

Front bags will work but you should have good springs for starters.

someone gave me a set of ride-rite (by firestone-2320's) for the front of my truck I beleive they are rated for 3000lbs. They make a set for the rear as well, rated for 5000lbs. Not sure if they are good or not but I never do any plowing or use the front for much. i did get new springs all the way around from Kansas City Spring works online.(at least I think thats waht it was-been awhile) and it did help alot. I kept the front springs stock(big mistake as now I will be adding helper springs to the pack) The rear springs I added two leaf's for a 6800lb rating i think. It helps with towing alot but boy does she ride like a brick now.

I have air bags in the front good Idea if you plow and if you don,t want to spend a pile of money. I had my back springs re arced and added a leaf for my camper cost me $400 bucks I added a set of air bags on the back as well cost me $200 bucks.

I truly think my airbags in the front have saved my front tires.

Hopefully this isn't a stupid question, but are there any coil spring conversions for the '97 TTB Dana 50 front axle?

i just got done puttin a skyjacker add a leaf in and it leveled me right up. i lost about 3/4" with my front bushings shot too so id replace all 6 up front (2 on each spring and 1 on each shackle). . The leafs were about $165 and bushings were $30. good luck man

the once jc whitney has just bolt to the top of the spring pack than use u bolts the bolt to the springs right? I was told you want to stay away from this set up as it put to much strain where they bolt and can break your springs

If you are looking for height then get new springs but if you want your suspension to ride without bagging out with a load on just get your springs re arced and put some air bags in when you are empty just let the air out and it will ride like normal they make a big dif for the snow plow too

I guess it all depends on what you want and how bad shape your suspension is
