Help stuck

Hi All,just bought an 04 F-350 S.D. and want to remove stock radio...I bought the removal tool and short of using the chainsaw I cannot get this thing out! The tool Seems to make a click on the right side but not on the left. Any Ideas? Thanks Rickkk

It's a pain in the rear.

The sides are spring loaded so you have to push outwards away from the deck as you pull the deck out. The tool can slide in too far making it harder to get the deck out. It takes a little practice but once you get it out the 1st time, every time after that is easy.

Be patient with it and jiggle the tool on the slide that aint clicking... its a pain like bgalaxy said... Just be patient with it... Occasionally some force is needed... Just not a whole lot...

Wow, you shouldnt have had to cut them off. You could have just pulled the whole dash panel out with the radio stuck to it. I had to do that in my 99 and it worked ok. Once the dash panel was out it was pretty easy to release the clips on the stock radio.
