Truck weight

I am looking at a '71 F100 short bed to do some index racing if I think I can make it work. I will be removing weight but just curious what I am starting with.

1) What does one of these weigh in factory trim?

2)Does anyone know the difference weight wise of step-side and Styleside?

Thanks in advance

Your truck should be in the 3600 lb range. Drive it to a local land fill, bulk feed store, etc. as they have whole truck scales.

The trim is thin aluminum so it is light in weight.

My truck is a '72 Sport Custom 360, C6, A/C, P/S short bed. I had it weighed a couple of years back. 4,100 lbs.
