Where does Havelock fit?

I'm in Havelock, NC. I noticed there was an Eastern NC Chapter that included Cary. Since Cary is pretty much closer to the middle of the state and they are considering it Eastern...is there a Coastal Chapter?

Just curious...not trying to stir things up...

Yes there is a coastal chapter. At the time it was started there just was not much interest in it. Maybe now we can pick it back up.

I'm not as far east as the OBX, but it could be worth a try I suppose. I'll keep an eye our for anything in the future that happens with it.

On a side note, does it make me less of a Ford owner for driving my old Sonoma for the sake of gas prices?

You are probably on the line of both of the chapters. It really does not matter though. They all intertwine. Right now we don't have any get together planned so if you see something come up in NC just post it to the forum at this time (just like I did with the oyster roast) and people can plan to go to it. Hopefully soon we can get some stuff planned. I know most people in here are pretty busy right now.

We could arrange for a "stick-on" blue oval for the non-conforming vehicles....

A stick on blue oval eh...I don't think so...that would definitely be breaking the Ford Man Laws.

But nice try....

Since it's technically Dad's truck now (sold it to him when I bought my baby), I might be able to convince him to get the windows tinted that way no one would actually see me driving it...haha

Haha. That could be a very good option. You would just have to sneak out of it real quick. Maybe you should look into something like this if it is going to become a habit of driving it to meets http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Richard_Nixon_mask.jpg . You cant ever be to careful when it comes to this type of situation.

HAHA....nice! Or maybe war paint or something. Well I'm gonna get some sleep. Thanks for the little chat...we'll have to do it again sometime.

I do most of my posting in the Super Duty and Heavy Duty Forum...so keep an eye out for me.

Alright I will. I run in and out of the heavy duty section every now and then (we got a couple superdutys and excursions) but those guys handle the answers to peoples questions pretty well. Have a good night.
