Unhappy if I had the money

in the local classifieds there is a 73 Explorer for sale. for the price it says $5000 OBO. I'm 16 and if I had the money I would buy it in a heartbeat. it says it runs good but I don't need 2 vehicles with these gas prices. here in Flatonia, Texas yesterday it was $3.69, this morning up to $3.71, this afternoon $3.77........ oh but the kids at school ask why don't you drive around with us since you have a license?!?

$5k is kinda steep, must have been in good condition got a link?

gas is $3.70 something here in Eastern Washington, cant drive my truck anymore cause of the bed, and so I am driving a suburban...all my younger friends ask me to go places and complain when I tell them I cant afford my gas right now to screw around and drive 60 miles. They all get confused, mommy and daddy bought their cars and pay for their gas. man I had to buy my own and have been paying for it since I first got the ability to drive

5K seems pretty dang high, especially for an old gas hog truck. If it is cherry and is rare, I might see giving 5K for it, but that would not stop me from trying to negotiate a better price. If I were you, I would be looking for a mini truck that will get at least 20 MPG. I know its not the same thing as driving around in a classic, but the fuel savings and maintenance will add up quickly.

$5,000 is way too high, unless it is restored or in a really really good condition. I live in Cistern, right up the road from you.

Try 5.80 to 5.90 a galon in eastern Canada. I'd kill for 3.80 a gallon.

I know $5k seems a little high but oh well. and yeah if i were to buy another vehicle it would be like a small ranger/S10/tacoma or something.

skosler if your first name is Steven then I know who you are. you and your wife used to come to the church that I go to now, about a year ago.

yep, thats me. You need to ditch that 6 banger and get a 460 like me. I got two extras laying around the shop. Do you build fence? I am looking for 1 or 2 boys to help me out. I pay $8/hour. Let me know if you have anyone in mind. I need them to be hardworking and trustworthy.

5K is not unreasonable around here if it's rust free, and decent shape. I paid $4.69 for diesel this morning (south florida)
