Question Part # Ques. On Magnaflow

I have been looking for a exhaust system for my FX4 SuperCab. I have seen where there are 2 part #'s for the dual rear exit system I want. One # is for 04 F150's built b4 06/04, and the other for anything after that. My truck was built in 05/04. The part # I was thinking I should get is 15834, but I see alot of the 16614 being bought. Has anyone used the 15834 and is there any difference. I also have a hitch and was wondering if anyone had probs with installation where the hitch caused the probs.

The build date refers to 04 Job2 trucks, so yours is a Job 1 truck. I doubt that the changes made between Job1 and Job2 were exhaust related, so I would think you're okay, but you need to verify with Magnaflow as to what the differences are between the two systems.

If you look at other systems you will see that the early truck has a longer pipe going from the cat to the muffler.

My 16614 came with an extra extension piece that I needed on my 5.5 ft bed. Perhaps that system sans the extension is for the supercab? Magnaflows website should shed some light on the subject.

I have the stock trailer package it posed no problem. Check my gallery for pics.

same as Bridge...I know some 04's had issues with the reciever interfering with aftermarket exhausts. I recommend you e-mail Magnaflows tech department. I talked pretty extensively with them about my last 2 Maggie exhausts, and they were pretty knowledgeable.
