fuel door

when the doors open theres a small opening where the door meets the frame.need and flat blade screwdriver to release the locking tab inside.the door will slide off towards you.

Thats good to know.. I ordered a locking fuel door today. With these rising fuel costs I don't wanna risk anyone being tempted to siphon fuel from my tank. That and the chrome finish is an eye pleaser too LOL

i thought the manufacturers were starting to put a strainer type screen within the fuel fill tubes to prevent anything other than fuel from going into the tank.

but then again, since ford doesnt even put a 2.00 lamp in a glove box anymore, im no surprised.

They punch a hole in the tank out here. They sell these stainless steel things that look like the old oil can funnel spouts that used to go onto the metal cans. They hammer that into the tank. Empties a lot faster than trying to siphon it.

Once they do this with the funnel, does that ruin your gas tank and you need to repair or replace?

Locking door isn't going to do any good anymore. People now take a piece of Re-bar or some other bar and shove it through the bottom of your tank.

Would getting the off-road skid plate that fits under the tank do any good?

Probably not for these worthless bums. They'll always find a way. If they'd spend as much time doing work as they do trying to rip others off, they'd have something in life.
