torque converter clutch soleniod location

is it on top of the valve body in the trans or mounted under it** in other words if i drop the pan and filter can i access it right there or does the valve body need to be removed to access it............i was told like 2300 to replace because the valve body need to be removed to replace it* from what ive seen and read it seems to be right under the filter* and the book says 2.1 hours.. what is correct.
