'63 F-100 Engine size

A buddy just bought a '63 F-100 for some body parts. It has a nice running I-6 engine in it. Assumig it's original, what size it?

airharley is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
What side are the intake and exhaust manifolds on? It could be a relative of either the 223 or 240. If I were to bet it will be a 223 with both the intake and exhuast manifolds stacked on top of one another on the drivers side.

Engine size

The manifolds are on the driver's side.

Probably a 223 if original but could be a 262. 262 has the big V cast into the left side of the block.
