When you took the fender flairs off the first time for paint, were you able to re-use the plastic fasteners? I want to pull mine off and drop them off at a local body shop for a proper paint job with automotive gloss black paint. If it work well, I will also have the mirrors and cowl at the bottom of the windshield done this way.

 

Great use for a 'H∈VRLE'.
