WOW!!!! Guess what I did today!!

I'm officially in the PERMA-GRIN club now!

I bet you knew before you opened this if you're a regular on here!
I picked up everything in Phoenix this morning from Dennis at ITP Diesel, then headed over to Strictly Diesel to have it all installed. I could've handled the install, but I am impatient! And I also had them calibrate my speedo for the tires....so I took care of everything in one place! The truck runs like a raped ape now! Basically like a whole new truck. Most of my driving so far was on the highway driving back home, but I played a little bit
Here's what I got today--- DP Tuner with Position-0 no start, position-1 stock, position-2 60 tow hi-altitude, position 3-60 tow, position-4 80 econo, position 5-120 race, position 6-140 SMOKE! Also the OBA, JWVB with Mercon V, and re-calibrated the speedometer for the 35's. WOW......what a difference a day makes! Thanks to everybody for answering my questions all along, I've had lots of em! Just wanted to do it right the first time!

Yeah...its Jodys dern fault my rear tires are "thinning" too.A DP-Tuner is like removing about 4000.lbs from our trucks. And this is what it done to my face.Still trying to get beside a d-max or cummins or a rice burner or something!

Well.....regular Apes have Superchips in their bananas, RAPED Apes have DP-Tuners in theirs.

And to adjust the speedo, it's adjusted in the ABS Module, and sends the proper signal to the PCM. Done this way it can only be adjusted UP TO 35's...anything above that you need a device like the Superlift Tru-speed. Usually it's a dealer visit, but this shop (Strictly Diesel) is a kick azz place, they have anything ya need!

Mike.....I just got it re-calibrated today, and I forgot my GPS and also forgot my iron-man watch to time it with formula. My setup though is 3:73 gears with 35 inch tires. It seemed like it was showing fast to me......but I'm so used to it being like 13% off that I'm un-sure if it's right or not. I head outta town tomorrow for work, but I will definitely be checkin that asap when I get home! I am soooooo impressed with the shifting now, the JWVB along with re-calibrated speedo has made a world of difference!

Sounds good Travis. Might be the tires, but mine will turn more RPMs at that speed.

Travis- Congrats on the whole raped-ape thing!!! And the DP. One day hopefully I will be a raped ape too. I think it's all anyone should strive for. LOL. Although I am slightly worried about you taken pictures while doing 75+mph down the freeway!

Either way Congrats!!!

That's awesome Travis, Congrats! You ordered yours the same day I did didn't you? I think you should throw my order in the passenger seat, and test that DP all the way up here to Mich.!!!

Glad to hear your happy, makes me even more impatient! SO, you really like the steering column mount? I'm pretty concerned about it, not sure why, If I don't like it, it's only $30.
