Single CD to Shaker 500 - Nice, 1 question

I just replaced my stock single cd am/fm radio in my 2005 F-350 with a "Shaker 500" from an 05 Mustang I purchased at a junk yard. I needed to use the 2 side brackets from my original radio, but other than it this was a total plug and play exchange. Total time took me 1 hour. Steering wheel controls work fine. The only problem I can find is the dimmer does not work for the lights in the radio, they seem to be bright enough, but I would like to make them brighter, anybody know how to do this?
