Dim lights on radio

After cleaning the dash on my 99 SD I've noticed the lights on my radio are very dim. It's a stock AM-FM cassett, my question is, is there a dimmer on the radio that I messed with or maybe a bulb is burnt out. I've checked out fordboy 52's thread titled "audio video tech folder". Must be wrong year, my radio doesn't look like his and I can't see anything that looks like a bulb in mine. Any suggestions?

did you turn down the dimmer on the whole dash lights?

That should be the only control of the radio display.

I've checked the dash light dimmer, the problem just might be my eyes. Being 50 something, you know what they say about 'em being the second.... no,first.... no third....oh heck, my memory went too!!!!! Thanks anyway!

I do belive there is light behind your deck... I dont know how to replace it or how much work it would entail... Probably be less work to get a new stereo installed.... Might want to check the wiring harness though, make sure you got a good connection with all the wires.
