turbo lag?

Now im having more problems with my early 99 psd, sometimes when it shifts to second i loose almost all power and start blowing blueish smoke, let off the gas and get back in it , the truck will regain power and move. Also, if i pull from a light and floor it, it wont lag or smoke, but if i try to pull off slower, its almost like i have to power it up before it shifts or it will lag? Is this a turbo problem, or fuel delivery of some sort?

What mods do you have if any? I don't think it would be a Boost problem but check all the IC boots (orange boots) and make sure their tight.

do all the basics... Check air filter and Fuel filter, then tighten all the IC boots. If the IC boots are loose you can lose boost pressure but I doubt it is that problem if it was your truck would be slow as hell at WOT.

Intercooler Boots, what year 7.3L do you have? There are also some orange boots near the fuel filter I think it's called a Y-pipe...

I found this forum for you:

When I have a question or problem I search in the forums, u can usually find out what is wrong or it will point you in the tight direction.

Welcome to FTE
