getting spark plugs out on the passenger side.....

any tricks to getting the spark plugs out on the passenger side without pulling have that stuff off? i got'em on the drivers side which still wasen't easy. after 141,000 miles they had a firm grip to the engine block if ya know what i mean.......

it's for my 98 explorer 6 cylinder. thx again..............

raiderred is starting off with a positive reputation.
Having gone through this agony before, pull the wheel off and work through the wheel well. Make sure you have some long extensions for your socket and have a good unversial joint for your sockets for the awkward angles. Good luck!

well, thats prolly as easy as it's gonna get. otherwise, our reliable mschanic said $117 to do just 3 plugs. man---it used to be a piece of cake changeing these but no more.............

I still find it real easy to change plugs on these by going through the wheel well as mentioned above (you may have to remove the rubber flap). The older I get, the less my back likes to bend over front fenders to work on stuff

The way i did it was get a big breaker bar and shove it down in the hole, broke it loose, wiggled my hand down there and ran it out
