DCRB is starting off with a positive reputation.
Comming soon: new door speakers... again... preview:

The search for a GREAT sounding system w/o subs continues.

what's comming in the near future you ask?

here's a preview:

Kicker DS 680.2 6x8 component speakers mounted in the speaker mounts for ford explorers.

pix:

so where are my 6.5's going? well, here's a hint:

image curtousy of crutchfield.com (clicky if you want: Universal 6"x9" to 5-1/4" or 6-1/2" Brackets Speaker adapter plates at Crutchfield.com )

also, i figured out why some people were able to install door speakers where i'm putting my 6x8's w/o using an adaport or something: i bought a set of new 6.5" 2-ways for my girlfriends civic, and they were half as thick as my components.

i'm ditching my 6x9's because while they POUND they also don't sound good unless they're in a sealed environment... aka: they distort and sound garbled right now at any volume louder than.... 2. lol.

here's what i have...

Pioneer 350 watt max power 6x9's with 4way tweeters that i put on there from an older pair when one of the tweater thingy's stoped working.

96_4wdr is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
forget about front door speakers
you'll never get good sound out of them
go for underdash and mini towers behind the seat
then work on the balance between the two
need separation from the ear to make speakers work well
