np 205 question

Will an np 205 out of a 1977 f150 with a four speed fit onto a 78 f150 with a c6 auto? Ive heard many different answers and i am not sure if the 4 speed is a np435 or T-18..

short answer is yes, u will need a different tail shaft adapter for the c6, as the auto one is shorter than the 4 speed one.
