Changeover 01 frontend to 05?

I'm sending the truck in to the shop today. Has anyone else done this changeover? Any problems? Oh yeah, it's a 20 passenger stretched Excursion limousine!

To do it right you will need a bumper, grille and headlights. I believe thats it. Should all bolt right on.

Do a search on the forum. I have seen several posts documenting this. Good luck.

Yeah, I got the grill, headlights, bumber and bumber mounting brackets, then the top trim for the bumber which has to be painted. $1300 so far, plus labor. I hope it works. The guy at Ford says his friend tried and couldn't get it to bolt up. I've got a body shop to do it. Everyone's so slow that they're willing to try anything. I've got my fingers crossed. I'll post pics or a link to our website if anyone's interested in how it turns out. Thanks!

get the fiberglass header panel. that will allow the headlights, and grill to be a exact bolt on.

Yes, Ford calls it a headlight mounting panel. I stopped by the body shop yesterday afternoon. It looks AWESOME!

ooooooo, i like pics. they could also get creative and do it the way many hav done it without getting the header panel. i did. it was easy. i cant even remember what my truck looks like when it was new. i also cant believe that i have 108000 miles on it either.
