Window

Ok,
You know im just having bad luck this month, Shop Problems, Now the starter needs to be replaced. I will be the first to admit that there are small problems and only 1 has been the actual truck throwing a fit on me. I love the truck and have no Plans of getting rid of it anytime soon.

Which Brings me to the next Issue. Im accutally sitting at work. Yay? LoL
I just got a call from Home telling me my truck alarm is going off and its waking up them and half the neighborhood. I asked them to run out and check on it and if need be use the spare key to open it up and pop the hood and just simply get the battery unhooked. 1 Because I have the Keyless entry pad with me. 2. I havent picked up my new starter yet so it wont acctually start up. Well I got a call back telling me that my truck had acctually be broken into. The 3rd door window (1997 F150 Extended Cab 3door) Is completely shattered and broken out, Most of it laying in the back seat. From what they said. Im dreading getting home and acctually seeing how bad it is and whats missing. I know im going to have to replace a window now also. Maybe I should have bought a ugly truck. LOL

Anyone know a website that I could maybe goahead and order the window. As far as I know the its just 3 screws that hold that one in place. I jumped online the minute I found out all this and checked on a local glass shop site and It told me that for my Truck $263.00 for the window and installation. I figure I can probally do it myself.

Thanks Guys!

Boy, you just have all of the luck ............ most of it bad! I don't know where in AL you live but search Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market for your needs. Looked like your truck has the dark privacy glass. These are the dark glass results. YES, you can do it.

I found a Window AND Starter at a local junk yard for $110.

I think that would be a great deal. Any Input?

A junkyard starter may be a 50/50 shot. Can you at least get it tested out before you take it?
