harmonic balancer and serpentine belts

I am changing my 351 {'85) to a serpentine belt. I know that all the front end parts need to be changed. But, my parts are from a 302. I'm not sure if 302 harmonic balancer will be correct for a 351.
any pointers will be appreciated.

Since the deck height is higer on the 351, you may find you need a longer belt when you're all done.

As for 351 vs. 302 balancer, my gut reaction would be 'no way'. Well, my gut was right. Two diff. part numbers here, can't imagine it would be different elsewhere:

Don't change your harmonic balancer, just bolt the crank pulley from the 302 on it.

I think you misunderstand, the balancer and pully are seperate parts, you should be able to remove the pulley from your 302 and install it on the 351 without touching the harmonic balancer on either motor.

The offsets are different, if you're going to a serp from a v-belt. You need to make sure the accessory drives line up. Spacers are available.
