Super 40 is REALLY quiet

So I was wondering why my super 40 is so quiet, maybe i was just expecting to much. But anyways I was wondering if now that its on what I can do to make my truck louder. I have heard about putting tips with resonators on but I am not sure. Any thoughts guys? Thanks

Keeping the Super 40:

1) High flow cats

not much options unless you do one of the things below.

Removing the Super 40:

1) a single chamber muffler (flowmaster 10 or cherrybomb extreme)

2) Straight pipe (not legal in some areas on gas trucks)

3) the muffler tips (only with out the flowmaster muffler installed)

4) high flow cats (will make almost any system louder so try that first)

I was wondering instead of getting a high flow cat, i could just taking off my cat altogether and just put a peice of pipe in its place. Meeting emitions is no concern here in Wyoming no standers to meet and no tests to take. And dose anyone know if the ones with the resonators work at making it louder than with out. thanks guys

Yeah, you could do that as well. Would definately liven up that super 40. And as said above, the one chamber flowmaster or cherry bomb extreme are alot louder than the 40.

Bear River has a very good reputation on FTE.Bear River has a very good reputation on FTE.Bear River has a very good reputation on FTE.
For your year it shouldn't be in the cat, no relocation needed. However, straight pipes are not legal. Now granted, there is no enforcement in your area, but still, vehicles emit gases that are hazardous to your health, namely carbon monoxide which is extremely poisonous even in small qualities. Every year there are tens of thousands of cased of vehicle related poisonings, and every year there are over one thousand deaths. Most of these are from vehicles that have had the smog controls removed.

I am not a big environmental person, but I feel guilty because my brother was poisoned by carbon monoxide from my truck. Now granted nothing serious happened but he nearly fell to sleep at the wheel as a result of it.
