Excellent write up Captain! Ya got my vote.
One question; Did you get the measurements for the first C-wedge from the D44 off of the knuckle??? Or just guess at it?
Gathering links, pages, info, and parts for my 'soon to get started' install, but with a 78 D60.
We took center line of the d44 and measured out to center of the wedge and then took center of the d60 and measured out to the same distance as the d44. Then took the total measurement of the 44's wedges to match on the 60 and also holding it in place with the radius arm to tack it
What size heims and through bolt did you use in your steering? They look like they are the same size on drag link as the tie rod so how did you acomplish the misalignment spacers on the drag link?
I bought 3/4 heims for my steering and track bar, the misalignment spacers for the drag link bring the bolt hole down to 5/8. Does anyone make misalignment spacers that I could use to keep 3/4 through hole?
Whats the best source to get heims from? I have a d60 swap i did into a f150 about 10 years ago. I used all factory steering components but I like the look of the ones pictured and they look stronger. I have never used heims in anything before so this is new to me.
