i'm asking this for my neighbor, so hopefully i don't miss anything. he's running a dual tank wvo setup and the truck performs fine under most all conditions...with 1 exception...under heavy load. he said it acts like it doesn't get enough fuel (wvo). he said the fuel line is heated, but the tank doesn't have a heating element....so i said that may be the problem, oil is still a little thicker than the diesel to flow properly...but that's just my guess. his wvo tank is a 100 gallon bed tank (what farmers use for tractor fuel). does anyone know if there is an electric element that can be used in those tanks? does anyone know if that is, or could be, the problem? does anyone have any other suggestions?
his is an '02 7.3 auto.
thanks

Even when heated VO will be a lot thicker than diesel.

Do you know if he has a fuel filter just for the wvo? If he does it could be a pluged fuel filter.

Rv Related? I did'nt even see anything that had to do with RV specifically... I just clicked the link above that was posted and in the 3rd column over to the right scroll down and look for the B1-B100 heating information. That what I figured would be best for your heating application. I have no doubt that they could offer you very educated opinion on your Buddy's SVO/ WVO system... Call em' up...

I could see how there could be some confusion with the RV company that makes and sales a brand called Arctic Fox that is based in Oregon and a company that makes fuel heater products named Arctic Fox that’s out of Minnesota.

ok, found it....big (actually little) difference in websites...artic-fox is rv stuff...arctic-fox is what i needed.
once he checks/changes the fuel filter...if it doesn't do any good, i'll have him move on to the heater.
or...he'll just say "f&$k it"...i'll just burn diesel when pulling the stock trailer.
either way, i'll pass on the info.
thanks again.
Agree on check the fuel filter and heating the tank. The fuel pump may not be in the best shape too. I have a FASS on the vegistroke and it has PLENTY of oomph.
