I Have a question about this forum......
I have a 2001 SportTrac, since this vehicle is built on a Ranger platform would questions/problems not be found in the Ranger forums?????
Sorry, I have been wondering about this since I joinded this wonderfull site.....
No, the Sport Trac is called an Explorer Sport Trac because it is a Ford Explorer. It has always been built on an Explorer chassis. If it was built on a Ranger chassis, it would have been called a Ranger Sport Trac.

no, the sport trac is built on a ranger ext cab frame. it is identical in everyway, shape and form. the only thing different is the body, it is the front half of explorer(from rear doors forward) and a custom design (from factory) ranger short bed base. I am a Ford tech and work on both sport trac and rangers. all mechanicals, driveline powertrain is the same as rangers and explorers. So yes, to answer your question, this is the right forum for you to post in because this is for bronco II, ranger, explorer, sport trac.
