Pros & Cons of 7.3 vs. 6.0 vans

Hi folks, I'm in need of replacing my '99 E-250 with a V-6 gas motor. I have a '06 E-350 with the 6.0 and really like the power & torque. (We have a glass business and both vans are loaded with tools inside & glass racks on both sides of the vans). We're thinking about finding a used E-350 cargo van with a 7.3 powerstroke cause it seems there's minimal issues with the 7.3 and mixed reviews over the 6.0. What do you guys think? Finding a used 7.3 (they quit putting them in the vans in 2003 with low mileage will be tough; most I've seen on the web have 100 to 300k miles) is not that easy, as most were produced with the gas motors. I'm currently getting about 14-15 mpg with my 6.0 with 23,000 miles on it. The mileage seems to be creeping up. My '99 v-6 gets 9 mpg and is severely overworked plus the A/C just quit working, old rust issues too from previous life. Just wanting to know if there's pros & cons with the 7.3 & 6.0.
Thank you,
Jim

The 7.3 PS is a durable motor. 100K miles aint' much assuming it has been maintained. You should like the 7.3 as much as the 6.0. No major issues either.

I like my 7.3 in the van. It is easier to get at the stuff compared to the 6.0. The only thing I don't like is the second battery location underneath the floor but I don't need to tell you about that since your 06 has both under there.
