Lucas Oil Additive Question

I Added 1 Quart Of Lucas Oil Stabalizer To My 96 Psd And It Seems To Run Quieter And Save On Fuel. Has Anybody Used This Before. Good Or Bad Idea.

See my other reply-but also, caterpillar engine company, cummins engine company and mack engines all say that the use of Lucas products WILL NOT effect their engine warranties!

Certainly won't hurt anything, but for what it is worth, the last oil analysis report I got back told me to skip the Lucas. I am using Rotella T Synthetic so I guess the Lucas synthetic additive really is not needed. It's pretty much up to you.

Synthetic is a good oil, however, if your engine has very many miles on it, synthetic can cause more problems than it solves. High mileage engines switched to synthetic will tend to start using oil. This is because of the high detergent in the synthetic. If the engine has alot of miles, use the lucas, if it is new or low mileage, use the synthetic-it is pretty much a trade off at that point.

I used Lucas in my last tank of fuel and I think it made a difference in MPG. could have been my driving habits changed too.

16 MPG pulling my 10,500 TT from Anchorage to Fairbanks
